Havn't written anything for so LONG...Actually I don't feel like to write anything since I don't really know what to write....A busy life is good in certain sence: It stops all the depressive sentiments...yet it also stops me from thinking and from meditating. That's why sometimes I feel like loosing meself into something which I don't know. As said, I have changed. Nevertheless, it may not be a change. It might just be another me who has been buried deeply inside the outer form of me for years. Sometimes I don't feel like being myself and I thus choose not to feel. What do I want? What am I after? Sometimes I don't really know.

Well, all these "sometimes" coincide with each other sometimes. Maybe I AM different. Maybe I'm not. Who knows? Not me..If I want to change back who I have been, I may not be able to achieve it because I don't know how that man is like and how he thinks, perceives and acts...

Havn't written anything here for long. For one reason, I haven't been watching many movies these days, haha. I was having a life of dota for morning and dota for night. The other reason is that among the few movies i watched in the period, none is good enough and thus worthy of commenting on.  Finally  I  got Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World.

I started to like actor Russel Crowe since the movie Gladiator. Then in the movie A Beautiful Mind which is my favourite, his casting as John Nash was perfect. Yeah, at that moment, he successfully made the audience feel and believe that he is Nash himself (Damn, I cannot not find that DVD now. It took me Sg$ 40!!!) Since then, he became one of my two favourite actors-the other  is Nicolas Cage. I also watched LA. Confidential then. The very reason for me to watch Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World is that I saw the cover of the DVD and I recognized Russel Crowe. He did not disappoint me this time either.

Lucky Jack (not Jack Sparrow!)  is  the captain of an English ship. He is young but experienced, courageous yet prudent and faithful to his duty, country and friend. He is a conpetent captain as well as a humorous friend to his crew. Again, Russel Crowe's acting which is so spectacular is the key factor of shaping such a great charactor vividly and successfully. In addition, the storyline is fascinating. Both the screenwriter and diretor have a good balance between the details and the tempo of the movie. It is such a dramatic and sarcastic comparsion to those of The Battle of Red Cliffs, which focusses on dull and stupid details, neglecting the flow and plot of the whole movie.

Don't feel like to comment more on the movie. I'd like to recommend people to watch it instead. There are movies which are like boring and hypnotic lectures given by inept teachers and movies that draws the attention of the audience from the beginning to the end and makes them want to watch it again and again. What a sad comparison. I have my own and real experience on this. When I watched In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale, I fall asleep several times and I really did not have the courage as well as the patience to finish Delta Force One: the Lost Patrol. Yet, for those good movies like King Kong, Leon the Professional, To Kill a Mockingbird etc, I hope the movie could last on forever.

Another movie which I bought long time ago but did not have time or desire to watch it because I knew it was quite a long movie. Well, after I had finally watched it yesterday, I knew it was worth the 3 Oscar Award(Sound Editing,Sound Mixing and Visual Effects). It has really magnificent scenes that create great visual impact while other detailed little things are not ignored by the director as well. Well, in fact, it is exactly those little things that will impress the audience, stir their emotion and make the movie remain in their heads even when it is over.
I especially like a few things in this movie. First, it comes the BEAUTIFUL scene of sunset. The first time is about serenity. When Kong and Ann sit on the mountaintop, watching the sunset of the sea at Skull Island, there is nothing else but peace, with the Ape and the beauty. The second one is about grief and solitude. When Kong brings Ann to the top of the Empire State Building, watching their last sunset together. Yes, Kong is an ape who cannot pronounce the word BEAUTIFUL but he definitely knows it much better than many human beings.  I see Kong as the king in his world and a hero in New York. When he is attacked by the army, the last thing he chooses to do is not to escape or revenge. Instead, He chooses to pursue the beauty of nature and to enjoy it for the last chance. The second thing I especially appreciate is every time when Kong and Ann look each other into the eyes. They don't speak but they understand each other. Ann's feeling towards Kong changes along the movie and I think it is kind of a clue of the movie. At first it is just fear. Then after Kong saves her from the tyrannosaurus, risking his own life, the emotion changes to gratefulness. When Kong is captured, it is sorriness and woe. When they meet again in New York, the feeling turns very complicated and when they watch the last sunset on the top of the Empire State Building, it is affection and sorrow.
Kong's mind is simple and so is his action. He loves Ann and he wants to protect her from any harm.  When Ann walks back to him in front of the tyrannosaurus, she becomes his responsibility. His love is so straightfoward and plain that we can understand all from his eyes, from the way he looks at Ann, while Kong does not speak nor gesture anything. Frankly, I am touched. King Kong's capture and death is not a tragedy to himself or to Ann, but one of mankind. He dies for beauty but it is man's greed and pride which kills him.

It is indeed one of the best movies that i have ever watched. The primary idea is creative, the plot is spetacular and the whole concept is excellent. What if one moment you suddenly realize that everything around you is fake, everyone you know is setting you up, and the world you live in does not exist in reality as it seems? Perhaps the most terrible part is not when you finally find out the truth but is when you start to suspect or to question. People around you are all actors and everything that has ever happened to life is arranged and casted. What kind of fear will you be facing when you have to believe that nothing and nobody around you can be believed in? It requires such great fortitude to perceive and accept the real fact. When Truman touches the wall of sky, the limitation of his world, I believe that each of the audience feel happy for him from the bottom of his heart.

What is the movie telling us? One thing must be that there is no limitation to our mind. Our sky IS just a wall. We can find ways to go across it and we have done so in fact. "We accept the reality of the world with which we are presented." The limitation to our ablity is merely the limitation of our mind. Another thing the movie does is to mock the media today and the so-called fashion created by them. Isn't stupid to sit in front of a TV to watch someone else's life everyday? The things used in the Truman Show are sold as products and greatly welcomed by people. The media create a false image for everyone to pursue and we are made to believe those things that we see everyday.
